Following the recent announcement of the newly appointed Chef Patron Steven Smith and its prestigious AA Award win, KAJI has officially opened its reservations to the public.

To celebrate the official launch of KAJI, one lucky guest will be in with the chance of winning a one in a lifetime holiday worth £5,000 for two to Tokyo next autumn, inclusive of return flights for two from Manchester to Tokyo, five nights’ accommodation, plus £1,000 spending money.

The entry mechanism is simple – the first 2,000 guests to reserve a table at KAJI will be automatically entered into the draw and will be in with a chance of winning. The competition will run until 30th November 2024, or until the 2,000 bookings mark is reached – whichever comes first.

The first restaurant in the series of the recently announced MUSU collection, KAJI will offer an array of flame-inspired dishes that blend classic Japanese techniques with bold, modern international influences.

For those looking to experience the menu built on the concept of fire based dining, they can make a reservation online ahead of the restaurant’s official opening on Friday 18th October.

With various menus inspired by the culinary traditions of Japan, MUSU’s renowned sushi will remain a staple of the KAJI menu at the helm of Head Sushi Chef Andre Aguiar, with both traditional and KAJI-style modern sushi, as well as a host of new KAJI signature creations, including Temaki hand rolls and signature sushi.

A KAJI staple will be the impressive 9-course tasting menu curated by Chef Patron Steven Smith, priced at £120 per person. With culinary delights spanning all pillars of the menu, including snacks, from the sea, from the land, from the ground, and something sweet. Incredible wine pairing options are also available.

For those looking to enjoy something different, KAJI provides an impressive lunch or early evening menu, priced at only £30 per person, with dishes including boneless corn-fed chicken wings, wild seabass and Maitake mushrooms.

A focal point of KAJI will also be its curated cocktail offering, serving up a dynamic range of flame-inspired cocktails, including the signature KAJI Pairing Cocktails served with miniature desserts, unlike anything else offered in the city.

Guests can expect to see drinks that embrace flaming, toasting, and smoking techniques, adding a tangible element to the experience.

Chef Parton Steven Smith of the MUSU Collection, said: “Ahead of its official launch in the coming weeks, we are thrilled to announce that reservations are now open to the public.

“The whole team has contributed to the development of KAJI, and I am incredibly excited to welcome our first guests through the doors to experience the newly curated offering.”
