Middleton’s annual May Day celebrations get into full swing this bank holiday Monday with a packed programme of free entertainment for all the family.
The popular Middleton MayFest event will be staged at St Leonard’s Square and in Jubilee Park on Monday, 5 May 2025 from 12noon–5pm.
Organisers are promising traditional family fun with live performances, music, maypole dancing, circus, mini-sports, fairground rides, games, crafts, food and drink, face painting and lots more.
In Jubilee Park the local St Michael’s Brass Band will be in concert, and for children there will be Uncle Chris’s Punch and Judy Show. You can learn new skills with workshops from Skylight Circus Arts and try a host of sports with staff from Your Trust.
In St Leonard’s Square will be the Middleton MayFest stage featuring a line-up of performances from local dance groups and singer/songwriter Rohan Young and his band. Back by popular demand are 5-piece covers band Hector’s House, who went down a storm at the event last year. The fun begins at 12noon and runs through until 5pm and everyone is welcome.
