Little Inaya was well enough to leave her hospital bed and enjoy her third birthday at nearby Ronald McDonald House Manchester on Saturday 19 November, which has provided ‘a home away from home’ for the family for a year .
Although she tires quickly Inaya was thrilled to join her parents, Samehia and Ahtsham, and brother, Hasan, and wear her new pink dress. She was able to laugh and enjoy the balloons, the decorations and special cake in her honour with family and friends.

A much-longed for baby, Inaya sadly was born with a genetic disorder and respiratory problems. Samehia, a doctor, has put her career on hold as she keeps a constant vigil at Inaya’s bedside. Together with her husband, a lawyer, they mark her milestones as memories to treasure.

Six-month old Hasan was born during the family’s stay at the House and is called a Ronald McDonald House baby’ by the staff and volunteers. At some point they hope to return to their home in Manchester.
