A pedestrian has been left with serious and possibly life changing injuries after a hit and run in Blackley last night
The driver of the vehicle initially failed to stop in the incident on Rochdale Road around 9.25 but upon police being called to the scene, the vehicle was located parked nearby.
Police arrested the driver, a 34-year-old man, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward and help their enquiries.
