From Monday, August 9 the Hall, which forms part of the Manchester Town Hall Extension, will be offering both first and second vaccines to residents.

The central location of the Rates Hall will support the ongoing efforts to vaccinate higher numbers of younger residents living in Manchester. It will also support returning students to Manchester, living in the Oxford Road Corridor, to make sure that they can return safely to their studies during the autumn term.

The pop up will be running for an initial two-week period offering both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines. This will be a walk-in site, with no prior booking required.

A total of four vaccination pods will be set up inside the hall.

The continued use of this vaccination site will be reviewed after its first two weeks, and if successful could continue into September.

Staff on site will also be on hand to answer any questions people have about the vaccine so that they can make an informed choice about their health and wellbeing.
