That’s at least according to an interview that he has given to this week’s Q Magazine.
The Elbow Frontman told the magazine that after landing a contract with V2 Records in 2001, 11 years after the band first started playing together, he was so excited he went on a huge drinking binge.
“It was the day after we signed to V2 Records. I drank too much, ran a bath… and ran and ran and ran a bath and flooded the floor beneath. I’ve stayed there since but they always put me on the lowest floor possible because I didn’t just trash my room, but the three underneath it.”
