The new hotel Quarantine scheme will be introduced on the 15th February, ministers have announced
According to the Telegraph, ministers want 28,000 hotel rooms reserved by 5 p.m. tonight to house 1,425 passengers a day by February 15.
Passengers will be expected to remain guarded for 10 nights and will have to take a COVID test on their second and eighth days — with a negative test required to leave.
The plan to isolate arrivals from 33 countries with coronavirus mutations is set to begin three weeks after it was first announced and a week later than promised.
