Reports this morning suggest that Manchester United are set to make 100-200 further redundancies as Ineos continue their cost cutting moves at Old Trafford

An exclusive in the Times reveals that one of those set to be axed is the club’s  long-serving head of team operations Jackie Kay who has been with the club over 30 years as part of the restructuring by Ineos at Old Trafford.

The news comes in the same week that Ineos saw the collapse of a £22million sponsorship deal with the All Blacks that has prompted New Zealand Rugby to sue the petrochemicals company.

Sir Jim Radcliffe’s arrival at the club saw 250 people leave the club last year as all areas of the business continue to be targeted for potential savings with the aim of making all areas of the business leaner and providing Amorim with the funds needed to strengthen the First team after a poor season
