Foy Vance has unveiled a stunning acoustic performance video of “Wind Blows Chloe”, a track from his forthcoming album To Memphis, which will be released on September 6, 2019 on Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records/Atlantic Records

Produced by Vance with Matt Ross-Sprang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price, John Prine), To Memphis is the companion album to From Muscle Shoals, which was released in June. The two very special albums pay homage to the deeply rooted Americana and Soul traditions that have influenced Vance’s approach to songwriting.

The catalyst for the project was Vance’s discovery of old demos he had labelled ‘Soul’ and ‘Americana’ whilst he was searching for inspiration for the follow-up to 2016’s ‘The Wild Swan’.

Vance will follow the two album releases with an extensive headline North American and UK/Ireland tour throughout October and November. Tickets on sale now from foyvance.com.

Vance will release a new studio album in 2020, a more traditional follow-up to The Wild Swan, which contained the BBC Radio 2 playlisted singles “Coco”, “Upbeat Feelgood”, and “Noam Chomsky Is A Soft Revolution”, and saw Vance perform on NBC’s Today and CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden. Vance’s previous album, Joy Of Nothing, won the inaugural Northern Ireland Music Prize for best album in 2013.

Foy plays Manchester Albert Hall on the 20th November
