Four shots were fired at a property in Middleton last night.
Police say the shots were fired by an unknown offender on a motorbike around 10pm on Green Lane
No injuries have been reported. No arrests have been made at this stage.
A scene remains in place this morning whilst officers conduct further enquiries, and an investigation is underway.
Detectives are appealing to the public for information. If you know more about this incident or were in the area at the time and saw something suspicious, we urge you to come forward.
We are also particularly keen to speak to anyone who has doorbell, dashcam, or CCTV footage from the surrounding areas.
Detective Superintendent Phil Key from our Rochdale district said: “We are investigating a firearms discharge that occurred overnight. I want to reassure the local community in the area that this appears to be an isolated incident and, despite some reports and speculation, is not linked to any recent incidents in Rochdale.
“Incidents of this nature can cause understandable concern among residents. I want to assure everyone that our investigation is moving at pace, and we have increased presence in the area which included officers on patrol.
“These officers are there not only for your safety but also as a point of contact—please approach them with any concerns or information you may have.
“Your safety is always our priority. We would urge anyone with information to come forward and assist us with our investigation. By working together, we can ensure our community remains a safe place to live and work.”
