In the heart of Didsbury, FOLK., the much-loved neighbourhood bar and kitchen, has appointed new Head Chef Harry Jones, raising the bar for local dining. Harry, formerly of Another Hand – one of Manchester’s most celebrated casual dining spots – has brought his culinary expertise to FOLK., crafting a new menu that celebrates the joy of sharing.

Centred around elevated small plates, designed to be enjoyed in the welcoming space that the restaurant is known for, the menu highlights include Bacon, Beef Fat and Cheddar Croquettes with pomme purée, preserved lemon and pickled jalapeño; 5oz Flat Iron with peppercorn sauce, angel fries and chive oil; Coconut Sambal King Prawns with fried basil and basil oil; and Cavolo Nero & Celeriac Purée with crispy shallots and pecorino.
For diners seeking something more substantial, FOLK.’s menu also features signature Cheeseburger, Veggie Burger, Korean Chicken Burger, and Rice Bowl with edamame, pickled ginger, seasoned mixed sushi rice, tenderstem broccoli and black sesame.
The main menu at FOLK. including ‘small plates’ and ‘plates’ are served daily from 12pm.
FOLK. brunch tradition continues, available from 10am to 3pm, Monday to Saturday, the brunch menu includes the ever-popular FOLK. fry up, steak and eggs, the playful sausage & egg McLovin, and a decadent matcha French toast.
Sundays at FOLK. sees a new selection of locally sourced cuts from the renowned Littlewoods Butchers in Heaton Chapel. From 2pm to 7pm, the kitchen serves up hearty roast dinners that are perfect for a cosy end to the week. Options include Beef Sirloin, Roast Chicken Supreme, Belly Porchetta with Crackling, and Lentil, Mushroom and Aubergine Wellington – all complete sides such as seasonal veg, Cavolo Nero, crispy roast potatoes, proper gravy, Yorkshire pudding and more. Kids Roast Dinner also available for little folks.
