Fairfield Social Club is set to make a sensational return to the Manchester scene this December with a Winter Pop-Up before launching fully in the Spring of 2024!
Located adjacent to Angel Meadows Park and next to Blackjack Brewery under the iconic arches of Manchester’s emerging Red Bank area, Fairfield Social Club will be a multi-purpose site that includes two bars, a huge 250 seater event space and a secret garden with in-situ street food trader and, for this pop-up, a Christmas Tree shop.
Kicking off in December 2023 there’ll be a fully stocked Blackjack Beers craft beer bar as well as a number of pop-up traders including Foundation Coffee who’ll be on hand to provide caffeine hits and Isit Kitchen will be in residence for the whole month slinging out barbecued goodness to warm your winter cockles.
Not only will there be food, drink and Christmas trees but Fairfield Social Club will see the return of Manchester institution Oklahoma retailing their much loved brand of colourful unusual gifts, decorations, and homeware plus their new signature Oklahoma totes. The ever popular Ben Saunders’ Manchester Queer Art Market will make a festive appearance and we’ll be kicking off our event space with a special version of comedy night A Lovely Time (A Lovely Christmas Time obviously!) with Amy Gledhill & Friends.
The team are also beavering away on Fairfield Social Club’s Spring launch to ensure a full programme of events is ready from day one and they are calling for any artists or promoters to reach out if they want to get involved either this Christmas or in the new year. Not only this but the diary is now open for one of the most unique wedding venues in the north of England so don’t hang about if you want to make an inquiry about your big day.
Marketing Manager John Stansfield had this to say, “The original Fairfield Social Club was such an important space for its short but memorable existence, and we’re so excited to be bringing it back to Angel Meadows in time for Christmas with one eye on Spring of next year when things will really kick off. We look forward to making the new FSC a cultural touchstone for the city and a great place to just hang out with pals.”
The Winter pop up will take place over the first three weekends of December opening 4pm to 10pm Fridays and 12 noon to 10pm on Saturdays. Children and dogs are welcome at all times. Entry is free of charge throughout with the exception of the A Lovely Time comedy gig where tickets can be purchased here.
Christmas trees can be pre-ordered for collection via the Fairfield Social Club website which has full details of all the events and activities. Individuals looking to work with Fairfield Social Club or enquire about a wedding or private booking should email [email protected] in the first instance.
Fairfield Social Club is part of the MeadowSide area and adjacent to the emerging Red Bank neighbourhood – both neighbourhoods of Manchester are being transformed by Far East Consortium (FEC) as part of its major regeneration programme. FEC experience-led retail and leisure meanwhile-use strategy from FOUND, has created a hotspot of independent restaurants and venues including Love Factory, Green Arches Brewery, Half Dozen Other bakery, and renowned spatzle restaurant, The Sparrows.
