The Office for National Statistics has published its GDP estimates for the third quarter of the year.
The economy saw slower-than-expected growth of 0.1 per cent in the three months to September.
Services grew 0.2% and construction by 0.1% grew while the production sector fell by -0.5%
The ONS has cited the impact of the 28% fall in car manufacturing around the JLR cyber incident… but there is also evidence that the underlying momentum in the economy in the first half of the year has also slowed.
The UK’s economy grew by 0.3 per cent in the second quarter of this year, following 0.7 per cent in the first quarter
