A female pedestrian is in hospital with injuries that are thought to be life changing after being hit by a car in Bolton yesterday evening
She was hit by a car as she crossed the road at traffic lights on on Derby Street.
The driver of the Vauxhall Insignia a 22-year-old-man, stopped and remained at the scene. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He remains in police custody and enquiries are ongoing.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
