Ahead of a busy summer season and with increased tour capacity, the Coronation Street Experience is expanding its team and recruiting new Tour Guides and Guest Services Team Members – the dream job for Corrie fans who know their Platts from their Barlows.

Passionate viewers are being invited to turn their love for the nation’s favourite soap into a job, as the tours launch a major recruitment drive to bring the iconic TV set to life for more people than ever.

Based at ITV Studio’s production site in Manchester, the Coronation Street Experience gives guests the chance to step onto the cobbles and explore the real filming location used in the long-running soap. The attraction, operated by Continuum Attractions, is now looking for enthusiastic new recruits to help bring more than 65 years of television history to life for visitors from across the UK and beyond.

The roles are tailor-made for Coronation Street fans who can share their love and enthusiasm for all things Weatherfield. Successful candidates will welcome visitors to the popular attraction, with some going on to guide guests around the world-famous street and share its history with the world.

“Working on the set is something most fans only dream about,” said Shaun Whitehouse, a huge soap fan who now works as a Tour Guide at the Coronation Street Experience. “Every tour is different. One moment you’re sharing little-known behind-the-scenes stories and the next you’re helping guests have their photos taken outside the Rovers. Seeing people’s reactions when they step onto the set for the first time is magical – it really never gets old.”

Ashley Bolton-Burrows, General Manager of the Coronation Street Experience, said: “Coronation Street has been part of British life for generations and we welcome fans from all over the world who want to experience the magic of the show up close.

“We’re looking for people with energy, personality and a genuine passion for the show. Whether they’ve watched for decades or grown up with the programme, this is a fantastic opportunity to work somewhere truly unique and help create unforgettable memories for our guests.”

As part of the role, some successful applicants will deliver guided tours of the street and its external sets, share filming secrets and tell tales from its 65-year history. They will also work within the Guest Services team, greeting visitors and helping ensure every guest receives a warm welcome.

The Coronation Street Experience has become one of Greater Manchester’s most popular visitor attractions, giving fans exclusive access to the largest single TV production site in the world and its iconic locations including the Rovers Return and Roy’s Rolls.

Applications are now open. For more information or to apply, visit the Coronation Street Experience careers page: https://www.coronationstreetexperience.co.uk/careers/latest-roles/guest-services-team-membertour-guide/
