Jaguar Skills, the world-renowned DJ who has opened for the likes of Prodigy and produced tracks for artists like Lupe Fiasco, is headlining a weekend of free-to-enter non-stop parties this bank holiday weekend at Manchester’s Exhibition.
Skills, who has worked with the likes of fashion label Maharishi, fashionista Jade Jagger, Carling Zest, Renault Clio and BBC Radio 1 will be joined by Exhibition’s resident DJ Jenna G, as well as Bucky from Manchester institution Funkademia this Friday 28th April to kick off the long weekend, 5pm until 1am.
Funkademia is the North’s longest running club night, filling dancefloors since 1995. Having recently been voted by Time Out readers as one of the Top 20 banging nights in the UK, expect the biggest soul, funk and disco tunes for the past five decades.
Keeping punters topped up, MCR Union Lager, Manchester’s first and only dedicated craft lager brewery, will be serving free samples from 5pm-7pm – Exhibition is the only place in the world you can get MCR Union fresh straight from the tank.
Sam Wheatley, Operations Manager at Exhibition, said: “As we step up our nightlife offering here at Exhibition, we are incredibly excited to be playing host to such immense talent. Our guests are in for something truly special this weekend as we see artists from the global stage play in a more intimate setting right here in the heart of Manchester.”
Having only been open for six months, Peter Street’s Exhibition has already built a reputation as the go-to for fresh small plates, unique cocktails and late night partying. Onda Pasta Kitchen, its most recent kitchen addition, opened a few weeks ago to rave reviews and widespread popularity on social media.
Wheatley continues: “We are so grateful to all of our customers and the people of Manchester for joining us on this journey. The last six months have been insane and we have only just scratched the surface of what we have planned for Exhibition.”
Bank holiday partygoers will also be able to dance their way through the long weekend courtesy of local talent James Holroyd, Pops, Ruf Dug, Rev. Austin Sherman and Helen K Wednesday through Sunday.
