A Denton man has been charged after suspected firearms and ammunition seized from property last week
41 year old Robert Clayton of Fernley Avenue will appear at Tameside Magistrates Court this morning after police recovered several items from property on Thursday night including eight suspected firearms and converted ammunition. They have been taken to a safe space to be forensically examined.
Added reassurance patrols remain in place around the area and anyone with any concerns is advised to approach our officers.
This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the public.
