Renowned artist Danny Cawley returns to the art scene with his first exhibition in five years, showcasing his mesmerising abstract paintings at Studio Blue, Adelphi Mill, Bollington on Saturday 20th May.

Since 2004, Danny has been painting and selling his work all over the world, with a unique blend of techniques and materials that create an unforgettable experience for the viewer. His experimental alchemy produces works that dance and weep, evoking emotions that leave the soul smiling.

Danny’s powerful abstract works have captured the hearts of collectors worldwide. Notably, his paintings and tee-shirts celebrating Manchester City’s title triumph sold in their thousands. Many well known musicians and sports stars have bought his work over the years, including Badly Drawn Boy, Bez, and Ricky Hatton, and legendary photographer Kevin Cummins took his picture for a piece in the City programme.

A ‘colourist’ at heart, Danny uses a mixture of aerosol spray, varnishes, dyes, gloss, acrylics, oils, emulsion, and lots of water to create rich depth, texture, and colour in his work. His strong roots and influence in the 1980s Manchester street graffiti scene are evident in the vibrant colours and experimental textures of his paintings. As Danny puts it, “I forget the world in which we all live in and dive deeply into the world I inhabit when I paint.”

Danny’s open studios exhibition at Studio Blue is a free event. The studio will be open between 10am-6pm and will be a great opportunity to see Danny’s work and/or to own one of his paintings.
