Bury solicitors Clough & Willis and PM+M are restarting their joint networking lunch programme which will kick off at The Met

Bury solicitors Clough & Willis and PM+M – the local chartered accountancy, business advisory and financial planning group – are restarting their joint networking lunch programme which will kick off at The Met on Wednesday 22nd June 2022 from 12:00 to 2:00pm. This is the first time the event has been staged since the start of the pandemic.

The lunches are aimed at professionals and decision makers from businesses working within Bury and the surrounding areas. Historically, the high-level networking lunches have been by invitation only. However, for the inaugural event the organisers have decided to open it up to company owners and directors from across the business community.

The guest speaker will be Liz Gudgeon, Service Manager in the Economic Development & Projects Department at Bury Council.  Liz will provide attendees with an insight into what they can expect to see going on in Bury in the coming months and years and how businesses could benefit.  She will also discuss the challenges and opportunities from the Council’s viewpoint which businesses might be able to influence and assist with.

Clare Trippier – Business Development Manager at Clough & Willis – said, “We are delighted to be able to restart our networking lunch programme after so long. Liz is set to be a fantastic guest speaker and will, I’m sure, provide real insights into what the Council is doing to grow the local economy.”

Helen Clayton – Partner and Head of PM+M’s Bury office – commented, “The pandemic put a stop to these events so being able to restart them is great news as they are an opportunity for local business leaders to come together in person to share, learn and network. Our aim is for it to become the high-level networking event in the area, so we’d encourage anyone who is interested to come along.”

Helen, who is also Chair of The Met, added, “We also hope attendees will be able to experience the fantastic facilities The Met offers and why it is such an important venue for Bury and the wider region.”

This event costs £20 per person which includes a buffet lunch and drink on arrival. Places can be booked by contacting Clare.trippier@clough-willis.co.uk
