Salt House will be coming to Waterside in Sale, Trafford as part of their extensive UK and Ireland tour.

The band, comprising Ewan MacPherson, Anna Hughes, and Jenny Sturgeon, has been a mainstay on the folk scene for over a decade.

Salt House will be offering fans a chance to experience their thoughtful and innovative interpretation of both ancient ballads and contemporary songs live.

Following the recording of a brand-new album in January ‘25, Salt House will be debuting some fresh songs on this tour, alongside beloved classics. Described as a “gentle, lulling delight” by The Guardian, Salt House blend heartfelt vocal and instrumental interplay, offering listeners a moment of reflection and connection.

Salt House’s sound is influenced by the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, Northumberland and Shetland, the respective homes of band members Ewan MacPherson (vocals, electric and acoustic guitars), Anna Hughes (vocals, fiddle, viola, tenor guitar) and Jenny Sturgeon (vocals, keys, guitar). They incorporate their natural surroundings into the fabric of the music that speaks of a shared love of place, people, and evolving tradition.

Salt House comes to Waterside on Saturday 15 March, Doors 19:30 | £16
