This bank holiday, King Street Townhouse will install a floral makeover fit for royalty to celebrate the Queen’s 70th Jubilee and the annual Manchester Flower Show.
Local florists North & Flower will decorate both the exterior and interior of the luxury Manchester City Centre hotel with sustainably sourced, locally grown flowers for the Jubilee-themed trail. Once the event finishes, the flowers will be donated to a local save the bees charity.
The hotel will also host a series of events across the weekend, including a Queen’s Jubilee Afternoon Tea. Taking inspiration from the Manchester Flower Show and an English country garden in the sunshine, complete the afternoon with a choice of Newby floral flavoured teas and the option to add a bespoke cocktail for £38 per person.
Curated in partnership with Manchester Gin, the limited-edition botanical cocktail menu includes the Summer Garden Spritz, capturing a long, lazy summer’s day in a blooming garden. Made with raspberry-infused Manchester Gin, Aperol, Forty-Five Radiant Rose Vermouth, a splash of citric acid, Fevertree elderflower tonic, and topped off with Prosecco. Alternatively, choose the fresh and sweet Floradora, Manchester Gin Signature mixed with Manchester Spirit Tonka Vodka, Creme de Framboise, gomme syrup, a squeeze of lime juice and Fevertree ginger ale to balance its sugary charms.
There will also be a weekend of classic British films hosted in the King Street Townhouse Cinema, starting from £15 for just the screening or upgrade to indulge in a cocktail, popcorn and pick n mix for £30 per person.
Screenings include Notting Hill, Bridget Jones, Mary Poppins, Paddington, The Gentlemen and Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels between Thursday 2nd June and Sunday 5th June.
