Exclusive networking group, Mother’s Meeting to Hold First Manchester Netwalking Event
According to recent research, over 20% of all new businesses started in the last year were started by Mums and there are currently 1.2millon self-employed Mums in the UK. The media have coined this growing community, “Mumpreneurs” or “Pramstarters”.

With this in mind, start-up and entrepreneur platform Hello Work at The Old Granada Studios in Manchester has decided to host an exclusive Mums only ‘netwalking’ event on 17thSeptember with special guests, Mother’s Meeting.
Mother’s Meeting are a London-based group of women who support working mothers. Working with brands such as Nike, MTV and Shoreditch House, they have over 35,000 social media followers and are one of the most influential female powerhouses in the UK.
The Manchester Netwalking event starts at 11am on the 17th September at Hello Work on Atherton Street and includes a ‘netwalk’ – a chance for Manchester’s entrepreneurial Mums to “stroll and socialise” around Spinningfields, have lunch and enjoy a series of inspirational talks and workshops.

Co-founder Jenny Scott will be one of the speakers at this one-off event. Since the launch of her book last year, “How to Be a Hip Mama Without Losing Your Cool”, she as has sold out events all over London with her mission to “get the world’s coolest Mums together to form an inspiration, motivational, support network.”

According to Jenny, “If you believe that giving birth isn’t the end of your personality or that having a kid doesn’t mean losing your cool then come and check us out. Mother’s Meetings are a celebration of motherhood, a chance to be inspired, have fun and meet a wonderful network of hip mamas.
Our Manchester Netwalking event at Hello Work is not about promoting yourself it’s about meeting like- minded women and having a bloody good time. Without any awkwardness! And no need to worry about babysitters, just bring the kids with you!”

Hannah Rockliffe from host Hello Work, one of the UK’s first workplace platforms dedicated to entrepreneurs, start-ups and innovative companies said, “Mother’s Meeting have been making an exciting name for themselves in London with their business club events so we’re delighted to get them to spread their wings to Manchester. We know we have tons of fantastic self-employed Mums in the city that are currently working in isolation and we think that this event will not only be an opportunity to bring them together to network, but it will provide Hello Work with an opportunity to showcase what we have on offer too. Namely, a strong support system to help any businesses grow and develop and the space to do it in.”

The event costs £15 and but tickets are limited to so interested attendees are urged to register at http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/manchester-netwalking-mothers-meeting-tickets-17483040244.
