The Blues Kitchen Manchester is searching for the next generation of musicians who personify the power of live performance.

In a time where music is often consumed through quick streams and background playlists, The Blues Kitchen stands as a sanctuary for sound that’s real, raw, and undeniably human. Now, the venue is inviting artists who share that same conviction: those with grit, passion and soul, to be regulars on a stage shared by a stellar lineup of Manchester musicians.

Having made the city their new home in 2021, The Blues Kitchen Manchester is known for hosting live performances in their downstairs bar or upstairs concert hall seven nights a week. From new and upcoming artists like Olivia Dean, to well-cemented jazz-house project Berlioz, all the way to legends such as Billy Cobham, The Blues Kitchen has become a home for timeless sounds. Night after night, their stages tell stories, bringing artists and audiences together through the unshakable promise of live.

This artist open call is a first for The Blues Kitchen Manchester, with venue booker Rhys Whitney commenting: “Manchester’s reputation as a music city is well earned – it’s built on decades of supporting boundary-pushing artists and the venues that give them a voice. Live music thrives here because the city refuses to let it be anything less than vital. Live music is at the heart of what we do, and we want to open the floodgates to talent from Manchester and beyond, who just get it”.

The call will consist of an audition process, both online and in person, and will conclude with a launch event to showcase the new artist/s.
