The Bank of England Governor has said that Britain must be “alert to”and “welcome opportunities” to “rebuild relations with the European Union”, because consequence of Brexit has been weaker economy & goods trade.

In a speech at the Mansion House yesterday evening Andrew Bailey said that Brexit has “weighed” on the British economy in a speech which marked some of his strongest comments yet on Brexit

He called for relations with EU to be rebuilt as the American’s plans tariffs under President Elect Trump

“The picture is now clouded by the impact of geopolitical shocks and the broader fragmentation of the world economy,”
