Twenty one year old Nadeem Hussain of Burlington Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne was sentenced today at Minshull Street Crown Court to four years and six months in prison

He previously pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual activity with a child and three counts of making indecent images of a child.

The court heard how Hussain had been speaking to the girl from Denton on Facebook before they met on Monday 28 December 2015.

Hussain had organised to meet the victim close to an off-licence on Stockport Road, Ashton-Under-Lyne at around 4pm where he purchased a bottle of vodka and took her back to his flat.

He gave her alcohol and cannabis whilst they listened to music and a few hours later, Hussain poured the teenager several shots of vodka before he had sex with her several times and proceeded to take indecent images of her.

Detective Sergeant Robert Pullan of GMP’s Tameside borough said “I would like to commend the young girl for her bravery in coming forward and reporting this atrocious incident to the police.

“I hope today’s result has repaid the confidence she placed in the authorities and she feels that justice has been served.

“Hussain knew full well what he was doing that night. His actions were to satisfy his own selfish sexual desires and he abused a young and vulnerable girl for his own perverse pleasure.

“I welcome today’s result as Hussain is now where he deserves to be.

“Throughout this investigation, we have worked in close partnership with social, youth and health services and I want to express gratitude to these professionals. They showed resilience, professionalism and understanding in the difficult situation and ultimately helped us achieve the result we have today.”

Hussain was also given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order until further order by the court.
