Printworks, currently closed due to COVID-19, has collaborated with renowned artist, Justin Eagleton, to create a series of special artworks to pay thanks to the NHS and essential workers.

The first piece in the series highlight’s Manchester’s support of the nation’s health service with the city joined together by a heartbeat and the NHS logo emboldened within the word ‘Manchester’, all set across the city’s iconic skyline. The other pieces in the series will be revealed very soon, and will all be focused on showing support to the UK’s essential workers.

The series of artwork will be proudly displayed on Printworks’ big screen, which adorns the front of the venue. No need to leave your home to visit, as the artwork will also be available to view on Printworks’ website and social media channels.

Justin’s first exclusive design in the series is also available to purchase on a t-shirt, as part of a collaboration with local clothing manufacturer, Northern Couture. £10 from all sales of the t-shirt will go to the NHS Together charity.

Adam Jackson, Marketing Manager at Printworks, said: “The NHS is truly the backbone of our nation. We want to show our support and appreciation for the NHS, and all the other key workers who are working tirelessly, with this small gesture of thanks, and to help raise vital funds for the NHS Together charity.”

Justin Eagleton, said: “I created these artworks to show my gratitude to all the key workers who are helping us through this health crisis. The NHS needs our support more than ever, and through the collaborations with Printworks and Northern Couture, and with the support of the city of Manchester, we can help fundraise for the NHS Together charity during this difficult time.”

Printworks has previously teamed up with Justin Eagleton to create a lasting piece of nostalgic artwork, celebrating the city’s rich and vibrant history, which takes pride of place on the side of Printworks’ iconic building on Dantzic Street.

Justin has raised more than £45,000 for local charities in the last 18 months, and was also part of the Bee in the City campaign, which saw his Hac-BEE-enda bee installation housed in Printworks’ Pump Yard before being auctioned off for the We Love MCR charity for £20,000.

Justin Eagleton’s MCR / NHS t-shirts are available to purchase for £29.99 from: https://northern-couture.com/collections/t-shirts-1/products/nhs-charity-oranic-t-shirt. £10 from each t-shirt sold will be donated to the NHS Together charity.
