The Winner of the 2022 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting Nathan Queeley-Dennis brings his cleverly crafted comedy Bullring Techno Makeout Jamz back to the Royal Exchange where it all started.

Directed by Dermot Daly, who was shortlisted as Best Director in The Black British Theatre Awards 2024, this one-man extravaganza offers an electric evening of side-splitting comedy, budding romance and a sense of pride for one’s local area.

With a running time of just over an hour, this delightful comedy celebrates all relationships, from friends to coworkers, and even the intimate relationship between a man and his barber. Running from Mon 28 to Wed 30 Oct 2024, there’s only four chances to catch this charming play in Manchester.

Writer and Performer Nathan Queeley-Dennis said,

“I’m thrilled to bring the show back to the Royal Exchange Theatre! Our journey began here with the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting in 2022.

Though I’m not from Manchester, this feels like a homecoming for the play. An extract was performed at the ceremony, and the feeling in the room was electric, you could really feel it living in the space. I’ll never forget that moment or feeling, and I can’t wait to bring that electricity back to that room, bringing the 0121 to the 0161.”
