Brand new quick-service pizza restaurant, Detroit Slims will finally open the doors to its first venue, on Manchester Oxford Road, tomorrow (Saturday 12th October at 3PM) – bringing a fast, fresh new twist on Detroit-style pizza to the Manchester masses

Detroit Slims pizza is made with high-quality local ingredients on a signature 10” long, rectangle-shaped base – making for the perfect quality takeaway option or speedy bite to eat in, with prices starting from just £5. Baked to order and served fresh, hot and fast, Detroit Slims pizza features rich slow-cooked tomato sauce and a plethora of toppings that sit atop a fluffy focaccia base; including the Cheeseburger Slim, BBQ Meatz, the Shroom Slim and the standout signature The Pepperoni Crown.

The Slims are best complemented by the variety of dips made in-house, including Kimchi Mayo, Hot Honey and Dill + Jalapeño Ranch; plus a selection of mouth-watering sides, starting from £3.50 including Chicken Tenders tossed in homemade cajun salt and pepper, and crispy Scooper Fries – the perfect base for scooping up those delicious dips.

Sweet-toothed visitors will be treated to a variety of indulgent thick “Slim Shaky” milkshakes, in a range of flavours including Salted Butterscotch and American fave Banoffee. A selection of other desserts include an iconic Detroit-style ‘Bumpy Cake Sundae’ with soft serve ice cream, double chocolate cookie, caramel and chocolate sauce.

The doors will open to the public at 3PM on open day, with the 25-cover venue taking a coveted corner plot at Circle Square. With a warm, cosy environment for guests featuring natural dark wood, bare brick and painted murals, guests can sit down or take away, with Deliveroo launching very soon.

The slick new restaurant also offers up branded merch to buy in-store, so customers can share the Slims love – including a lineup of T-shirts, tote bags and crew jumpers, starting from just £15, making for the perfect treat for any Pizza lover.

Detroit Slims comes from the team behind Manchester’s beloved venues Ramona, Diecast, and The Firehouse, inspired by their love of Manchester’s ‘twin city’ in all but name, Detroit. Just like Manchester, the city is known for its working-class culture and rich music scene, as well as its unique take on pizza.

Detroit Slims joins the likes of Manchester-favourite Onda Pasta Bar, North Tap Room and Federal Cafe Bar within Circle Square – one of Manchester’s most unique places to live, work, eat and drink. From Bruntwood SciTech and Vita Group, Circle Square is home to exciting startups, global businesses, and some of the most exciting retailers in the city.

Detroit Slims will open at 3PM on Saturday 12th October, then from 12PM everyday from Sunday 13th October onwards.
