Reports this morning claim that smoking could be banned in pub gardens, outdoor restaurants, outside hospitals and sports grounds
Leaked Governmnt plans reported to the Sun newspaper claim Kier Starmer’s Government is set to extend the smoking ban as part of a tougher Tobacco and Vapes Bill.
Vapes are also being considered as part of the ban. Shisha bars are explicitly mentioned as being within the planned restrictions.
Private homes, big national parks and streets are not included in the ban according to reports
Critics of the scheme say that an outdoor ban will increase the rate of pubs going out of business.
