Greater Manchester Police are continuing to investigate a series of rapes that occurred in the city centre between February and July 2024.

It is believed that the suspect has been primarily targeting intoxicated men before raping them and taking their personal items.

On Sunday 21 July 2024, Mourad Malki, 47, was arrested on suspicion of rape. He was later charged with 12 offences committed against three males and one female which included multiple rapes, sexual assault and theft. He is currently remanded in custody awaiting trial.
