Two men in their 20s have been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage after a further speed camera was targeted yesterday evening .

Police were alerted to two suspects who were in the process in cutting down a speed camera on Manchester Road in Carrington at around 8.35pm.

They currently remain in police custody for questioning.

Detective Inspector Richard Lees from Trafford district said: 

“We are making further enquiries in relation to this incident and to see if there are any connections between this one and the damage to the other cameras in south Manchester.

“I would like to thank the member community who called in and altered us to the incident, this led to a swift response with us apprehending two suspects in the same evening.
