A cyclist has been killed after being hit by a Heavy Goods Vehicle at the junction of Langley Road South in Salford yesterday evening
Police say the HGV was travelling northeast on A576 Cromwell Road in Salford towards the junction with Langley Road South and the victim, a cyclist, was travelling in the same direction behind the HGV.
A 39-year old man was arrested at the scene of the collision on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has since been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
