A murder investigation is under way after a 35 year old man died from his injuries following an stabbing in Stockport earlier this month

Dylan Towers, 35, from Stockport, was found with stab wounds after an altercation on Foliage Crescent in Brinnington on the 17th December

Mr Towers was taken to hospital in a critical condition but sadly died from his injuries on 29 December.

A post-mortem will take place to determine the cause of death.

Detective Chief Inspector Ben Cottam, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “This is a tragic incident where a man has lost his life and is now being treated as murder.”

Liam Fosbrook aged 26 of Sheen Gardens, Wythenshawe, Manchester, has been charged with section 18 assault and will appear at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on 21 January 2022.
