An 87-year-old woman has died after her mobility scooter collided with a Volvo on Manchester Road West in Little Hulton yesterday
Police say the driver of a Volvo was travelling westbound on Manchester Road West when an elderly woman on a mobility scooter was travelling eastbound on the pavement before it suddenly began to cross, causing a collision to occur.
The woman suffered fatal injuries and was taken to hospital where she sadly died.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are asking for anyone with information to please come forward.
The accident happened around 11:14am
