An 87 year old woman has died from her injuries at the weekend following an accident last Tuesday when she was hit by a Mercedes Sprinter van in Bury
The incident happened on Walmersley Road around 11.15am
The 26-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and has since been released under investigation
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident to get in touch to help their investigation.
Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV/doorbell footage from the area in the moments leading up to and before the collision took place.
