The High-street fashion chains Oasis and Warehouse,have collapsed into administration this afternoon.
They employ over 2,000 people between them.Administrators say there will be 220 redundancies and a further 1,800 people will be immediately furloughed.
In a statement the administrator Deloitte said that:
“COVID-19 has had a devastating effect on the retail industry and not least the Oasis Warehouse group. Despite management’s best efforts over recent weeks, and significant interest from potential buyers, it has not been possible to save the business in its current form”
The Company has stores in the Manchester Arndale Centre and at the Trafford Centre
