Police have confirmed that a motorcyclist was killed early yesterday morning in a crash on the A57 between Eccles and Irlam.
The accident happened close to Barton Airport around 5.55am.
The man aged 46 was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.The driver of the car – a Ford Fiesta – remained at the scene to assist police.
There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing.
