A woman has been arrested after an incident at a Chadderton nursery when a critically ill baby girl was rushed to hospital
The woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and child cruelty and has since been interviewed before being released on bail with strict conditions.
The child is still in hospital where she remains in a serious but thankfully stable condition.
The Kids Around The Clock nursery has been suspended from September 27 to November 7 due to the investigation by OFSTED
Extensive enquiries continue to be conducted to establish the circumstances of how the child’s condition deteriorated say police who are conducting an investigation with support from partners at Oldham Council and Ofsted
Criminal proceedings are active and police therefore urge people to refrain from speculation and commentary online.
