This summer marks a truly historic moment at Castle Howard, as the estate unveils the centrepiece  of its 21st Century Renaissance event – the grand reveal of the lost Tapestry Drawing Room.

It has  been carefully restored after its destruction in a devastating fire more than 85 years ago, blending  centuries-old craftsmanship with state-of-the-art conservation techniques. It’s a rare and  remarkable revival that brings new life to the House, offering visitors the chance to step into a  reimagined past.

But the magic of Castle Howard extends far beyond its walls. Across the estate, summer brings a  season of discovery and unique activities set in the beautiful landscape of the Howardian hills.  Families can spend a full day exploring the House and Gardens, while young adventurers lose  themselves in the treetop wonderland of Skelf Island. There’s a vibrant programme of events – from  live music drifting through the Boar Garden, to classic car shows and exclusive behind-the-scenes  tours of the most iconic filming locations from Netflix original, Bridgerton.

And when it’s time to refuel, the estate’s Farm Shop offers everything from BBQ essentials to  indulgent picnic afternoon teas, perfect for enjoying in the grounds or on the go. Whether you come  for the culture, the landscape, or the chance to make memories together, Castle Howard promises a  stylish summer like no other.
