A new exhibition has opened at Bury’s Fusilier Museum to co-incide with national Armed Forces Week.

It explores the connection of the regiment with Bury and its people over the last 150 years.

It’s a nostalgic look at when the regiment first moved to Bury back in March 1873, right through to when Wellington Barracks closed in 1968, and beyond.

It also looks at the regiment’s involvement in the two World Wars and what life was really like as a Lancashire Fusilier based at Wellington Barracks.

The exhibition runs until 29 July – details here:
