Two men have been charged with possession of a firearm following reports of a shooting last week outside an Old Trafford social club.
Michael Patrick,58, and Aron Patrick,26, both from Sale, have been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence and possession of a class B drug with the intent to supply.
They remain in custody after they appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Police raided a house in Sale this morning investigating the events which followed reports of a group of men fighting at a social club on Alphonsus Street late on Wednesday night.
It was later established that a firearm had been discharged and a number of bullets were recovered from the scene. No one was injured.
