Two people have been arrested after an attempted car jacking in Rochdale overnight
The victim was threatened with a knife and told to get out of his vehicle on Kingsway in the town around 11.00pm
The offenders, a male and a female then fled the scene in his vehicle.
The vehicle was later pursued by officers before the occupants decamped and attempted to flee on foot.
They were soon detained close to Manchester Road and Hareshill Road. Both were arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in custody for questioning.
