Tributes have been paid to Manchester born singer Danielle Moore who has died at the age of 52

Moore was the lead vocalist and front woman of the band Crazy P and in a statement the band said that Moore had died in

“sudden and tragic circumstances”

“We are devastated to announce the unbelievable and shocking news that our beautiful Danielle Moore has died,” they wrote. “This happened on Friday afternoon August 30th.”

The statement added

We cannot believe the news ourselves and we know it will be the same for all of you. She gave us so much and we love her so much. Our hearts are broken. We need time to process that this has happened. Danielle lived a life driven by love compassion community and music. She lived the biggest of lives. We will miss her with all our hearts X

Crazy P was formed by Chris Todd and Jim Baron in the mid 90s, the band melted together house, soul, and disco.

The group arguably reached its definitive form when Danielle Moore joined in 2002, helping to spearhead their considerable crossover success.

Albums such as 2003’s ’24 Hour Psychedelic Freakout’ followed, driving two decades of success. Firm festival favourites, Crazy P matched studio prowess to a fantastic ability to connect with audiences, building a global fanbase

Amongst the tributes posted on social media today one said:

“More than just a singer, Danielle was a force of nature — a beacon of joy, energy, and creativity who lit up every stage and room that she graced. Her passion for music was palpable, and it resonated with everyone who had the privilege of meeting her, or seeing her perform.“
