To mark the start of the school holidays, Trafford Palazzo is kicking off its five-week TP Summer SportFest to celebrate the Olympic games and keep families entertained this summer.
Free for everyone to attend, Trafford Palazzo will be commencing activities with its very own Olympic opening party on Saturday 27th July.
Visitors can enjoy drummer performances and Olympics-inspired crafts, including flag colouring, medal making and face painting. Manchester based Crepe Castle will also host a bespoke pop-up Olympic Crepe stand for all to enjoy a French-inspired sweet treat. There will also be guest appearances from much-loved mascot Maximus Palazzo and other Olympics-themed characters.
For the full five weeks from 27th July to 11th August there will be a retro sports gaming arcade, with a jungle gym, obstacles to test balance, as well as a boxing machine for those who like to test their strength. And for families who like a bit of friendly competition there will also be astro turf sprinting lanes.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, children can get crafty and make their own sports themed goodies to take home, then get excited to see some sport-themed characters every Wednesday, or enjoy a sprint race with Maximus Palazzo every Saturday.
Further events are planned to coincide with this summer of sports theme at Trafford Palazzo.  For further details and to book onto the free events, visit the Trafford Palazzo website here:https://traffordpalazzo.co.uk/summer-sportfest or follow Trafford Palazzo on their social channels @traffordpalazzo.
