A third man has been charged with attempted murder over an incident in Oldham last week that saw one man arrive at hospital with gunshot wounds and a second receiving serious knife wounds at the scene in Busk Road

Twenty three year old McCauley Brooker  of Southway, Eccles has been charged with attempt murder and Section 16A Firearms Act 1968.

Two men aged 22 and 32 have been released on police bail.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Davis from our Major Incident Team said: “We have made significant progress in this investigation. Seven arrests have been made so far with three men being charged and remanded. All three have been charged with attempted murder and one also charged with Section 16A Firearms Act 1968.

“This investigation is fast-paced and we are exploring a several lines of enquiries, including information that has been passed to us following our public appeals.

“We are still appealing to anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101 quoting log number 3740 22/05/2024.
