This week will see the launch of a brand-new cinematic experience in Sale, as The Northern Light Cinema opens its doors in the newly regenerated Stanley Square.
The boutique, family-run venue is set to make Sale a destination for moviegoers of all ages. Comprising three screens, The Northern Light promises an unparalleled cinematic experience, showcasing the latest Hollywood has to offer as well as independent, foreign
language, classic films, National Theatre Productions, and other live events from around the globe.
Film fans can look forward to an impressive lineup, including a special Valentine’s Day screening of the highly anticipated Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. This will be followed by Dog Man and the classic Captain America. These selections are just the beginning
of a programme designed to bring the magic of cinema to life.
In a celebration of independent business in the area, Monday 10 February, will see a launch event for tenants of Stanley Square, offering an exclusive first look at the venue. The official public launch will follow on Wednesday 12 February.
The new attraction will be bought to Stanley Square by the family-owned business, Manero Cinemas Limited, owners of the Rex in Wilmslow and Savoy in Heaton Moor. On the opening of the group’s sixth cinema.

The Northern Light Cinema is dedicated to making film accessible to everyone. Each screen includes wheelchair spaces, and the venue is equipped with Dolby Accessibility Solutions, allowing visitors to enjoy captions or audio descriptions for most films. For
those who prefer a more sensory-friendly experience, the cinema also offers Relaxed Screenings, where lighting and sound levels are lowered to create a more comfortable environment.
The opening of The Northern Light Cinema is part of the ongoing regeneration of Stanley Square, which has attracted a growing number of independent businesses, contributing to the revival of Sale’s town centre.
