We sent our new Food reviewer Mark Anderson to take a look at the latest offering from City Centre Restaurant Fenix and he loved

As you walk into this stylish, opulent venue you’re automatically taken back by the vibrant lighting, layout & attention to detail that’s very popular with the younger cliental, & its understandable why there’s so much hype about the place.

Spread over two floors, the entrance floor offers drinks from a central bar area that has that Greek influence of a Mediterranean taverna with the dominance of an olive tree encapsulated to the central stairway.

The stairway takes diners to the second floor where we were introduced to some wonderful staff that has an excellent knowledge of all that’s on offer.

FENIX the high end contemporary Greek-Mediterranean restaurant that’s about to launch their new Sunday Agora menu.

Created by Head Chef Zisis Giannouras the new Sunday roast menu is taken from Chefs Zisis’s childhood memories, it brings together with selection of traditional ingredients and flavors inspired by the Greek-Mediterranean influences.

The main course offered Leg Of lamb Enclave (Two People) or a fish selection of Sea Bass, whist also offering a vegetarian choice, & accompanied with three different sides of Braim Vegetables, Spicy Roast Cabbage, and a Mykonian salad.

The service was exceptional, with our order being taken within 10 mins after being seated, which considering the restaurant being quite busy was very good.

A starter of Fresh pita flat bread arrived first, topped with garlic butter served with a Tzatziki dip to as an accompiment.

The main courses arrive without having to wait for an age, but within just enough time for us to sample some excellent wine.

The mains food was amazing, the lamb was cooked to perfection & was presented to the table in a paper package, that when cut open presented a steaming, flavorsome experience.

The vegetable & side dishes tasted fabulous; the food was hot, excellently cooked with the presentation of all the dishes being impeccable.

What impressed me was the attention to detail that FENIX had to offer, the staff all looked very smartly turned out with matching work ware, the table setting was very well presented & the staff ensured anything we needed was available.

Seeing as the menu is based on a Sunday roast, I would like to have seen an extra choice of meats on the menu, but that’s perhaps something that can be added as the menu evolves.
