Manchester Pride Festival has announced its final headliner of the 2024 Gay Village Party programme – Sugababes.

Joining the lineup as a special guest is international star Rita Ora and ‘The Greatest Showman’ actress and singer Keala Settle.

The line-up for the event is set to be the biggest one yet.

Joining her on Friday is Broadway star Keala Settle, who is renowned for her powerful rendition of ‘This Is Me’ from the blockbuster hit ‘The Greatest Showman’. She will grace the Alan Turing Stage for an evening of classic Pride anthems, accompanied by a live band.

Other performers joining on Friday include British drag artist BIMINI, Trans Filth & Joy and Runway by Banksie, Manchester’s very own 7-foot drag supermodel, who will be kicking off the Bank Holiday in true Manc style, as they host a runway showcasing glamorous queer couture and fashion realness.

Two-time Eurovision winner and Swedish pop sensation, Loreen will headline The Village Stage on Saturday 24th August adding to the excitement, following the recent announcement of her new single ‘Forever’, Manchester Pride will witness one of the first performances of this anticipated release.

Joining the Saturday line-up is the electrifying global superstar, Rita Ora. Returning to Manchester Pride for the first time since her unforgettable 2018 performance, Rita Ora will bring her chart-topping hits and incredible stage presence to the festival for an exclusive pride performance.

Also on Saturday, the Indoor Arena pays homage to Manchester’s warehouse clubbing legacy and will host the Gaydio Dance Arena. Headlined by DJ Paulette, the takeover is supported by a stellar line-up of Gaydio DJs including Dave Cooper and Forbid.

Saturday also welcomes back takeovers from Black Pride MCR bringing its mix of disco, house, funk, and more to The Village Stage, while the Queer Asian Takeover returns to the Alan Turing stage, celebrating queer brown joy.

On Sunday 25th August, Sugababes promise to push the button on nostalgia with a show-stopping performance as they headline The Village Stage.

And if that wasn’t enough noughties nostalgia for Sunday, Atomic Kitten’s, Natasha Hamilton joins Danny Beard & Friends, and Steps’ Claire Richards will be performing over on the Alan Turing Stage, alongside Pride Divas with Misty Chance.

As Sunday draws to a close, audiences can expect to be dazzled by, Queenz: The Show with Balls, reigning Drag Race UK champion Ginger Johnson, and so much more at Danny Beard & Friends on The Village Stage.

The festival will conclude on Monday 26th August with the Candlelit Vigil in the sacred setting of Sackville Gardens. In collaboration with George House Trust, this special moment will honour those we have lost and stand in solidarity with those living with HIV. This heartfelt experience will be a powerful reminder to combat stigma and come together as a community in unity and support.
