Kids at a Kellogg’s Football Camp in Stockport were delighted with a surprise visit from newly signed Stockport County player, Tayo Adaramola.

The young left-back, who is on loan from Premier League club Crystal Palace, signed for The Hatters last month ahead of the 2024/25 season. He offered the 50+ local kids at the camp, taking place at Stockport Sports Village, advice on their footie skills and inspiration from his own journey from grassroots football to the professional game.

Tayo Adaramola, Stockport County FC player, said: “I really enjoyed coming down to Stockport’s Kellogg’s Football Camp today. It was so great to see how many local kids are enjoying their football thanks to the opportunity provided by Kellogg’s and Stockport County’s Community Trust. I had a great time answering some great questions from the kids, and having a kick about, of course!”

The 70+ Kellogg’s Football Camps, taking place across the UK this summer, are hosted by FA-approved coaches, with 30,000 free spaces being offered in the first year.

Alison Warwood, CEO, Stockport County Community Trust, added:

“We’ve been thrilled to have welcomed hundreds of local kids this summer for our Kellogg’s Football Camps here in Stockport. By providing a fun environment to keep kids active this summer, we want local families to see the Trust and the club as something to be proud of and be part of, showing the real value of sport in the community.”

“It’s also brilliant to have players such as Tayo join us to inspire the next generation, but we’re keen to highlight to kids that it’s not about becoming a pro, as enjoying yourself comes first! It’s been a hugely successful first year of Kellogg’s Football Camps and we’re already looking forward to bringing the camps back next year.”
