Chill Factore, the longest indoor real snow slope in the UK, is this week reopening its family favourite, Snow Park, just in time for the bank holiday weekend, along with a brand new, COVID-safe, lesson format for family and friends.

With just a few precious weeks left of the summer holidays, families will be able to safely enjoy a range of exhilarating activities on Manchester’s real snow slope which has received it’s ‘We’re Good To Go’ accreditation from Visit England.

Refurbished last year, Snow Park allows guests aged 4+ to enjoy the real snow without the need of skis or a snowboard from just £20pp.

You can whizz down the slope on a sledge, or race the entire family on the doughnuts. That’s right, it’s not just the little ones that enjoy the thrill of Snow Park, adults can too.

In line with Government guidelines for the industry, and to ensure guests safety out on the slope, all equipment is sanitised by highly trained staff before and after use. There are also fewer places on each Snow Park session to allow guests from different households to keep a safe distance from one another.

To avoid disappointment, guests must book tickets online before arriving, plus wrap up in a warm waterproof coat, clean grippy shoes, gloves and a face covering as clothing hire is unavailable. As helmets are essential, guests will be given these before they head out onto the snow.

If you fancy something more challenging this bank holiday, or the family simply want to brush up on their skiing skills after a long break, Chill Factore has also reintroduced lessons.

The new Family and Friends Lesson format means that those that live in the same household or are in the same social bubble, can enjoy a private lesson on the slope. Numbers will be limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

Again, clothing hire is not available, but essential kit such as ski boots, skis, snowboards and helmets can be provided if needed.

“We’ve really missed seeing families on our slope this summer so can’t wait to welcome them back to enjoy the Snow Park before kids head back to school. There are a few changes to the way we operate, including face coverings which are now mandatory in the building and out on the snow.  With the weather forecast being poor for the next few days, Chill Factore really is the ideal place for families to have some fun in a Covid-19 secure environment.”
